I think reading about your adventures at the fair are more fun than actually going to the fair. Thanks for letting us live through you!!!

When my wife and I go to the fair we make sure we go by the Vita Mix demonstration a couple of times and taste the samples they are 'cooking up'. Of course we enjoy a trip through the barns to see all the beautiful animals.

It's the Great State Fair of Ok-la-ho-ma!
I really enjoy our state fair with all of the wonderful food and entertainment! The corn on the cob and Italian Ice are my families favorites, and the strawberry crepes that are from non other than Brown's (which is the best)! If you haven't seen the Wacky Wild West show or the Dog tricks or if you have never stopped to listen to the Native American Wood Winds playing Hymns, or if you have never been up in the Space Needle or toured the barns...you have missed a treat! I really .We like the go on the first day but since we couldn't make it today we will have to go next week. See you at the Great State Fair!

My favorite part about the fair is just the excitement that it brings. Especially when I was a little kid it was a big deal to be able to go and see all the exhibits. I loved going with my grandparents because we would go through every cow barn and talk to all kids of people and grandma would have to look at all the homemade items to see if she could find one she could have made better.. HA

What's the best part (or parts, if you can't choose) of the Oklahoma State Fair?
I love all the exhibits. The Made In Oklahoma Building is my favorite.

WOO HOO! You're kidding, like I said, I never win anything. Guess I can't say that anymore. Funny thing is, I mentioned your review to my husband this morning & said we should go while the tickets are cheaper, weather is cooler, & crowds are smaller. We almost went today, but thought it might rain, so we decided we'd go some other time. Glad we waited. Thanks.

They rent wheelchairs for $20 and a $5 deposit, but not electric ones.
If you mostly hang in the kids' area, there's not much walking at all - and there are benches all over the place.
I hope you get to go! I think you'll enjoy it!

I don't think I've EVER been to Frontier City. Maybe once when I was young, but I may be thinking of the state fair. Either way, I want to go now. (I hope I win the tickets, but doubt I will because I never win anything.) Of course we'd spend most of our time at the kiddie rides, but now that I'm a Mom all I want to do is make fun memories for Owen, so that would be OK. Your comment about the terrible picture on the Wildcat drop made me laugh. Really $17.50 for tickets online doesn't sound bad at all. I expected them to be much more. And "not as grand as Six Flags" is a plus in our book. My husband has bad knees, so we don't get to do many things like this that require lots of walking. Does the park rent motorized carts for people who are unable to walk?
Thanks for the review. I'm enjoying reading about your statewide adventures. This is such a clever idea.

I enjoy reading about your adventures since I have been unable to do many of the things I have wanted to do because of my messed up foot this summer. I really am enjoying your blog and please keep it up for people like me! Thanks again!
